A graduate of the Engineering and Environmental Protection department at the Częstochowa University of Technology. He received the PhD degree in technical sciences in 2003 for the dissertation “Theoretical and experimental analysis of the hydraulic operation of tubular retention reservoirs in a rainwater sewage system”, in which the author’s design solutions were described.
Head of two research grants devoted to real-time control of sewage flow in sewage systems financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. In 2010, he obtained a postdoctoral degree in the field of environmental engineering based on the dissertation “Effective dimensioning and dynamic regulation of sewage retention reservoirs”. The research activity includes both the development of innovative tank structures and methods for calculating the required capacity of retention devices. He published the results of his research in indexed national and foreign magazines (including Water Science and Technology), and presented at the most important international conferences on the issues of water and rainwater management (Int. Conference on Urban Drainage, Urban Drainage Modeling, Novatech).
He is the author and co-author of patents and patent applications, including retention reservoirs and infiltration-retention devices. He carried out numerous expertises and commissioned work for companies from the water and sewage sector. Currently performing the functions of the Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Biotechnology (Częstochowa University of Technology).
