The development of design methods inextricably involves the evolution of the approach to rainfall data in engineering calculations. The currently applied a priori approach to modelling only artificial rainfall scenarios, i.e. Euler model precipitation (type II) and block precipitation (with a constant intensity), is no longer adequate. Therefore, it is necessary to specify in detail the methods for preparing model hyetographs that take account of up-to-date and actual pluviometric data.
Benefits:
- replacing currently used synthetic precipitation models
- the developed models can be used to calibrate hydrodynamic models of sewage systems, for dimensioning storage reservoirs and hydrological modelling
- innovative method for determining model hyetographs
Projects completed:
- Method for calculating the volume of storage reservoirs, February 2017.
