RETENCJAPL Sp. z o.o. implements a project co-financed from European Funds
“WaterFolder Connect – an integrated platform for designing and modeling drainage systems”
The aim of the project is to develop an integrated WaterFolder Connect drainage systems design and modeling platform that allows designers to digitally design combined with modeling of entire drainage systems in an open access formula via the Internet.
Project number: POIR.01.01.01-00-0119 / 21
Project value: PLN 2 630 133.91
Co-financing of the project from the EU: PLN 1,691,590.99
What is WaterFolder Connect?
The project will develop an integrated web-based design and modeling platform for WaterFolder Connect drainage systems. It is a completely new solution on a national and even world scale that allows: calculation and selection of specific products for entire drainage systems along with the preparation of graphic design documentation and verification of projects using hydrodynamic modeling.
The competitive advantages of the product will result from:
conducting all design and modeling works in the computing cloud; implementation of the algorithm of automated project transformation into a computer model, relying on reliable amounts of reliable rainfall from the PAND Atlas for designing and separate local model hyetograms for modeling drainage systems.
The recipients of the WaterFolder platform will be:
- designers
- companies providing technologies for drainage systems
- cities that adapt drainage systems to climate change and implement blue-blue infrastructure.
Engineers must design drainage systems with retention, infiltration and on-site use solutions, and there is increasing pressure to verify designs using hydrodynamic modeling. Companies that are leaders in rainwater drainage and management technologies in Poland and in the world, future commercial partners of WaterFolder Connect will be able to provide full technical support to engineers with whom they want to cooperate to sell their products thanks to the platform. The analysis of data from the platform, including the geolocation of the ongoing design works, will provide these companies with easier access to sales leads and general knowledge about the state and development directions of the drainage system market in Poland. Finally, the stakeholders of the WaterFolder Connect project will be universities educating in the area of rainwater (free educational access).
