Lufft WS series
The devices included in this series are Lufft WS 200, 300, 400, 501, 600.
Depending on the model chosen from the wide range of devices, we have access to: an ultrasonic wind sensor equipped with a compass for direction compensation, a temperature sensor, a capacitive air humidity sensor, an atmospheric pressure sensor, a solar radiation sensor (CMP3), and a trough rain gauge for liquid precipitation measurement. Data preprocessing in the device and the SDI-12 output (default setting) or RS-485 (with various communication protocols) allows seamless integration of LUFFT sensors with all OTT data loggers, ADCON devices, other popular data loggers, and PLC controllers.
Low power consumption is possible thanks to the inclusion of one of two energy-saving modes. The heater or fan can be activated only under specific conditions. With such configuration options, the device is suitable for both hydro-meteorological stations powered by solar energy and measurement stations equipped with mains power, where electric heating of the sensors is not an issue.
Wind is measured at a frequency of 10Hz according to the recommendations of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), and average speed values (vector and scalar) as well as gust values with the corresponding wind direction are provided as output. Additionally, for each measured value, we can record extremes and obtain calculated values such as the dew point temperature.
