OTT SVR100 – radar water velocity sensor
Usage: continuous online measurement
Key features: accurate surface water velocity measurement, along with metadata informing about adverse conditions (e.g., vibrations, wind, sensor position changes, etc.)
Application: non-contact water velocity measurement stations
Built-in data logger: no
Measurement range: 0,08 … 15 m/s
- Continuous, non-contact flow velocity measurement during low, normal, and high water levels
- Identification of measurement values affected by sensor movement (e.g., wind, traffic) using metadata from built-in vibration and deviation sensors
- Automatic flow direction detection
- Reduces/eliminates interference caused by wind, rain, vibrations, or waves through advanced filtering algorithms
- Floating objects or suspended sediments do not affect sensor operation, as it is installed above the water surface
- Universal and movable mounting bracket allows for quick installation on structures
- The sensor is inconspicuous due to its small size and ability to be mounted in various positions
- Maintenance-free
- Easy integration with systems without requiring extensive device knowledge
- Low energy consumption; ideal for solar-powered installations
- Easy integration with new and existing systems via SDI-12 or RS-485 interfaces
- Compatible with OTT Prodis 2 software used for system calibration
Applications- Open channels
- Rivers
- Streams
- Irrigation ditches
- Channels for draining technological waters
- Outlets/inlets
