We prepare concepts, building designs, and detailed designs for stormwater sewer systems, retention basins, and systems supporting the safe conveyance and retention of stormwater. We base our designs on hydrodynamic modelling and the analysis of multiple rainfall scenarios. This allows us to select solutions suited to actual catchment conditions rather than simplified assumptions. We also analyse combined sewer systems, optimising the performance of storm overflows, obtaining water law permits, and designing their reconstruction and separation into stormwater and sanitary sewer systems.

How should a stormwater sewer system be designed in a city?
The design should be based on catchment analysis, local rainfall data (preferably from the PANDa atlas), an inventory of the existing network, discharge constraints, and the target operating model of the system, with a strong role for blue-green infrastructure.
When is a retention tank needed?
When the sewer network or receiving water body cannot safely take the runoff and the city needs to reduce the risk of local flooding and system overload. It is also needed when stored rainwater is intended to be reused, for example for irrigating green areas.
